Please don't move into economy comfort seats and think that no one is going to notice! People have paid alot of money to sit there and there is a list with people's names and status too. The BS stories that we flight attendants hear to move up there-we have heard them all before.

United has gotten very sticky with seating. We paid for and were sitting in PE all seats in our row were full but the entire exit row of PE behind us was empty. We asked if we could move back a row and w're told NO, tithe exit rows seats cost more. Then came a United crew person, she got the whole row of 3 and "spread out". United certainly does not care or show customer loyalty.

wunder, is you problem that you were not permitted to move? or that an employee got to use the unoccupied seats?
Would you feel the same if the empty row was in business class? |
NoFlyZone, yes I have a problem on both counts. I PAID for a PE seat, not a problem with that, however to be told no you are not allowed to sit in a completely empty row, again in PE only to have an employee take over 3 seats, yes I have a problem with it.
And yes I would have a problem if there was an empty row in Business or First if I had paid to be in that section and asked to move. My point is...I paid for a seat, no one gave me the seat, I didn't "sneak" to sit where I didn't pay. And your issue??? |
Me? No dog in this fight. Just asking reasonable questions.

I think the point is the EP seats are priced differently. It costs more to buy an EP seat in an exit row. You apparently didn't pay for an exit row, so therefore you weren't allowed to sit there. I do agree UA doesn't seem to care about customer loyalty these days.
