Interesting. What should the airline do? If they have traveled half the distance, there may not be enough fuel to return. Returning will also cause major scheduling problems. Perhaps sitting them on the toilet and saying the bathroom is out of order would be the best answer?

Having just updated my will, I regret to inform the public that I have once again neglected to compensate anyone other than my immediate family (and the tax department, not necessarily in that order) on the occasion of my demise.
My advance apologies for any inconvenience to the travelling public that could be caused by my remains. (I shall try in future to travel with 'air-Wick' or some such deodorizer on my person, in the event of my death.)
Alternatively, you could sue my survivors. Better yet, turn up at the wake - the booze will be free, unlike on most airlines these days.

Certainly not put the stiff in the first class cabin....
On any long haul 747 and that includes BA, the FA crew has rest quarters with ~4 beds. Why not lay the stiff on one of the beds?
But I suppose in a typical BA style, the crew's rest is more imporant than a high paying, first class passengers rights.

Interesting photo. My first thought was if they had room to move the corpse and the wailing family to first class they could have moved several coach passengers up so a row of seats was cleared and strapped the stiff in there and let the family in there too. But, the crew quarters seem to be best option now.

Wonder how often people die on flights? Some poor soul died on my flight last week from Mumbai. I believe he was a Business Class passenger and after the crew and a doctor had tried to resusitate him for quite some time, he was put into a seat with a blanket covering him.
