Frontier Airlines?

I am looking at flights from Nashville to Seattle for our Sept. Alaska cruise out of Vancouver. Because of the price difference (nearly $350 a ticket), we are going to go into Seattle. I have found a great deal ($300 rt) with Frontier Airlines, but know nothing about them. Are they similar to Southwest? There are similar fares available with USAir, so, I'm just trying to make sure we end up on a decent airline if I choose Frontier. My husband absolutely hates Southwest...
Thank you!

It's a low-fare airline more like Jetblue. All coach, all new Airbus. They have personal screens and for $5 you can watch DirecTV programming. They also assign seats, so it's not like Southwest.

Well, the only problem I have encountered with Frontier is the seat assignment. If you have a deeply discounted fare, which it looks like you will, the seat assignment may be restricted to airport check in.Maybe not.Butif you can live with that, I say go for it.

As a Denver resident, I fly Frontier several times a month, mostly on deeply discounted tickets, and have never had my seat assignment restricted nor have I ever heard of that happening to anyone else. GREAT airline.

I am so relieved to read these reviews!

Got our flights to Vegas, baby :))

Looked at the seat reservations - it looks like only aisle passengers will be on the flights! Seriously, somewhat strange selection. But I picked aisle/middle for us, too!
