Frankfurt travel waiver advice - United flight, Air Canada reward ticket

I have a YVR-ORD-FRA-IST itinerary leaving Dec. 25, with the ORD-FRA portion in the evening. Then I have IST-TLV on Dec. 29, and TLV-FRA-YVR on Jan. 10.

United has travel waivers in place until Dec. 24 currently, and I strongly suspect there will be a travel waiver for Dec. 25. I'm just waiting to see.

All my flights are non-Air Canada, but this is an Air Canada reward ticket.

If there is a United travel waiver for Dec. 25, how will this work with me being booked on an Air Canada reward ticket, and with my flights being on a combination of United, Turkish, and Lufthansa?

you will have to hope AC issues a waiver as well which I assume they would.

But Air Canada does not have flights on this itinerary, so how could they issue a waiver for it?

Have you called Air Canada and/or United to ask them?

one more data point...travel waiver on United states specifically now, must be on UA or Continental ticket stock ONLY.

Cranachin, I'm not phoning those airlines now, because the volume of calls is extremely high, and there is no waiver for my date yet. I'm trying to find out what to expect, in advance, in case I do have to call.

mztery, that data point really helps! Now I know not to expect much.

Looking at the AC web site, the travel problems page doesn't talk about any waivers. It just has a long discussion which basically says, check to make sure your flight is eaving.

It looks like there aren't going to be any waivers for my dates by anyone, so I'll fly as usual and hope for the best!

I never worry about the right things. Every one of the 6 flights in this itinerary went well. Each time, in Frankfurt, there was some delay for de-icing, but no big deal.
