Frankfurt connection time
Getting to Croatia is a little more complicated than I first imagined. We are looking at flying Lufthansa to Frankfurt, then connecting to Zagreb. Meeting up with our tour in Rovinj the next day. The question is will a 2 hour connection in Franfurt be enough time? Not familiar with the airport.

2 hrs is more than enough time for that connection (assuming, of course, that your inbound flight arrives within an hour of its scheduled time).
|
Actually you have chosen just about right enough time to get through things without a lot of waiting around. As stated above the key is more or less on time arrival of your plane.
|
Should be fine as long as:
1. You don't have to switch terminals. 2. You're not the last one off the plane. |
Should be fine even if:
1. You have to switch terminals. 2. You are the last one off the plane. |
Provided that:
a. your plane lands on time ;) |
On that we agree.

There are many complaints about 45 minute flight transfers happening in Frankfurt. It really pushes some on flights if there are any weather problems, etc.
But with 2 hrs., you're good. I fly the same airline to my destination when transferring in a foreign airport. At least they're going to get you there. If you transfer to a budget European airline, you've just lost your non-returnable airfare. |
