Forks and Knives

Am I the only traveller out there who is really mistified that on board we are given PLASTIC knives and METAL forks? A metal fork can do a hell of a lot more damage than a pair of tweezers. WHY????

WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?

I think you should complain to the captain.

Not only that...We were in ABQ last year right after 9-11. Tweezers and nail clippers were being confiscated. We made it past security w/o a hitch. We went to our gate area and I bought a salad to eat. What did they give me to eat with ? A fork and a knife..the same thing they were confiscating at security check point. Go figure.

Quite frankly: 9-11 will NEVER happen again. The American people know better than to sit still and let hijackers tell us what they are going to do. Any suspicious person on a flight these days is targeted and kept an eye on by their fellow passengers. Let them have their fork--I'll karate chop the sob's!

I agree with sister, 911 was a one time occurance (at leastthe yway they did it). After all the didn't even succeed with their 4th flight (Pa crash) cause the "people" revolted.
On a recent American flight from Boston to LAX, we were served lunch and given only plastic spoons to eat our pasta or chicken with. Go figure.
