Flown with US Airways recently?
Hi, I was curious to know if anyone had any recent experiences flying US Airways. If you have, please let me know your experience with them. I have a flight booked with them for December 31, Philadelphia, PA to Orlando, FL. I haven't flown for a while, but not expecting any problems. This will be my 1st time flying US Air - I've used American Airlines in the past, but US Air had some good fares for my trip. Thanks, Greg

Several times in past year - as well as United, AA, AirTran, JetBlue - all on east coast US. I love JetBlue, had a one-time problem with AirTran related to their computer, but find flying experience overall the same on the major airlines. DH flies about 6 -8 trips/month and shares my opinion. I have come to expect little and just want plane to arrive safely and on-time. I shop fare and schedule, not airline.

If you click on my name you'll find a similar thread on US Air--there you'll find some nice stories (she says sarcastically) about the airline. Regardless, they fly non-stop Philly to Paris so we'll use them--I'm sure they're on par with other airlines. Good and bad happens to them all.

US Air and the Phil airport are on my list for never use again but that was for international flights. Last week was on a combined United/US Air from Denver to Charlotte, NC via Dallas out bound and Kansas City return. Not a whole lot of difference between the two. However, Kansas City airport did join my list of never use again airports.

Thanks for the replies. I haven't flown for several years, so getting a tiny bit nervous. I have a little issue with heights, and I do get tense esp. during takeoff. But I'm taking my ipod and a book/magazine to try to distract myself.
The flight's only about 2.5 hours long, so I wouldn't take anything to make myself sleep, but maybe my doctor could recommend something to ease the anxiety. Greg |
