flightdealonline.net - Flights too cheap to be true?
 

I am checking flights from lima to europe and I found a website called Flight deal online (flightdealonline.net). It offers the same flights that all other sites offer that compare flights, but A LOT cheaper, hundreds of USD cheaper per person. They say it's because they buy those tickets with airmiles which they purchase from agencies etc.

If I search in Google information or reviews about the company, I can't find anything! And I can't pay with credit card, only bank transfer. This gives me serious doubts about this website although it looks really professional. Has anybody bought a flight with them?

It's a China based company, located in Hong Kong.

When you go to FAQ, there really is nothing except who owns the company. Googling the company, there is discussion at FlyerTalk about the company phishing.

Frankly, it smells to me and that's a no go in my book.

They claim to accept Visa, paypal and MC.

If it's bank transfer only, run, don't walk, away from this 'deal'.

once again our rasta friend gives 1/2 the info...

on one page the company SAYS it's in Hong Kong, on its FAQ page it says it's in Copenhagen, and the WHOIS Listing (always a help when dealing with an unknown company) says that their internet domain name is held by a woman named Natalia in Hungary. I don't see any reference to them on FT.

I'd stay away.

I don't actually know anything about that. Be careful of all those bank transaction businesses.

It was a SCAM! The website is already down. Thank God I didn't wire any money...Thanks everybody!

mztery - Did you miss the London location? I decided not to put it in, as it would add to confusion.

For Flyer Talk, I put in the name of TA Ticket Ltd, which is listed as the owner. This is where I got the phishing information.

Probably more than 1/2 of the information, n'est pas?

I didn't miss London, just wanted to call attention to the fact that the web site itself had different locations.

And with FT it's really helpful for someone like the OP to include a link.

No airline I know of allows Airmiles (which I assume are Frequent flyer reward miles) to be sold

And they watch for this. When they find something suspicious they cancel the sellers account and all tickets associated with it.

mztery - TA Ticket Ltd is everywhere, and nothing is positive.

Beyond picking nits, I would stay away from a China based company that doesn't seem to be able to take a credit card, and wants bank information.

Especially one that operates under numerous aliases.

I really don't think that I have to provide excruciating details on something that smells rotten in so many ways.

@rasta - you are the one who brought up Flyer Talk, and from my many years there, I know that finding one or two posts is nearly impossible, I wasn't asking you to prove the site was a scam, or for any details but YOU brought up that you saw it on FT, It's obviously a scam, but it's just that I am pretty good at searching FT and could not find anything about this agency.
