Flight schedule changed--can I candel and get a refund?
United Airlines just notified me that there are schedule changes for our flights in December that will not work for us, nor will alternate flights. Is this a situation in which I can cancel and get a refund?

Policies vary by airline, depending upon their terms and conditions. And by regulations enacted by the country where travel occurs. You won't know the answer to your question until you talk to United. Telephone.

Happy to wait!
I also looked for the third time at seat reservations, and for our return flight we have been asigned seats in Economy instead of Economy Plus. The only seats available in E+ are in exit rows--and the seats' reclining is limited. Exit-row seats are probably not wise for us. So I'm hoping that this combination of problems will make us eligible for ticket refunds.

Not all planes have E+ yet. Some that are ex-Continental is still waiting to have E+ installed. That IS NOT a reason to get refunded. E+ is never guaranteed. So, stop mixing issues. Just stick to the schedule change.
