Flew first class; got humus in a 'squeese' tube.

We 'upgraded' on our way to Oakland (alaska)and got server a few funky things cased in plastic, the strangest was a bag of little chips, and some humus in a 'toothpaste like tube' that you squeese onto the chips. A glass of juice/coke on ice, and they put so much ice in the glass that, in reality, you are getting perhaps three teaspoons of actual coke. Coming back in coach, we didn't even get a pretzel, and it was a 12:30 p.m flight...so we got no lunch at all. They are getting pretty tight about weight, but even the steward and stewardess were overweight. Shouldn't they start by charging extra for what will actually make the weight differential...humans. Oh well, flying is the safest way to fly.

You got hummus and other funky things encased in plastic? All I got were warm nuts ;) http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=35012265

Ah, gotta love the new Alaska snack tray. Actually the hummus is not bad, but most Alaska FFers are pretty unhappy with the offerings. Previously you got a plate with some tasteless cheese and tasteless rigid fruit on those flights, but no more.

They have been called "flight attendants" for many many years now.
