Well obviously FC from Orlando to Tampa won't cost that much. I meant Orlando to Paris in first class. I did a quick search using kayak.com for dates next week and next spring.
I'm assuming skip knows the difference between business class and first class and is specifically asking about first. Maybe not.

Thanks all. I was just curious because I used 270,000 AMEX Rewards points to get two first-class tickets on Lufthansa from Orlando to Paris, and return from Madrid to Orlando. It was a blast being in FC for first time ever on a trans-Atlantic flight and my bride of 30 years was duly impressed, treated like royalty by the exceptional Lufthan staff. Only negative was changing planes twice in Frankfurt going and returning. One of worst airport experiences ever there and when we return I will do whatever I can to avoid the mess at Frankfurt.

FRA is a pit, but why didn't you use the First Class terminal? I doubt it could have been that bad if you had.

You could also look into converting about 60,000 (total, for two of you) into BA miles, purchasing two BA Premium Economy tickets from Miami-London-Paris and using the points to upgrade to Club (which is Business Class but nicer than most "First" class services offered by U.S. airlines.
The Premium Economy tickets will cost about $1500 a piece.
You could also fly from Orlando to New York or Washington, and then fly OpenSkies (a BA-owned all business class airline) to Paris. They offer two classes of service: Biz Seat and Biz Bed. I've flown in the Biz Seats and they're quite nice - about 52" pitch in a 2x2 configuration (again, much nicer than most domestic first class seats in the US - more legroom). Biz Bed is a lie flat bed. Check out www.flyopenskies.com.

Nobody told me about a first-class terminal at Frank. We were all thrown into shuttle buses our on the tarmac miles from the main terminal and shuttled to the main terminal and then left to our own devices; we did use the nice lounge there in Frank on return trip, but seems as if someone should have told us about any special FC terminal in Frank. On the outbound trip from Orlando, a very nice Lufth ticketing agent escorted us through the short employees security line and to the lounge.
