FF tickets on Delta to Israel, a Success Story!

There are so many negative posts about Delta and not being able to use ff miles that I thought I would post a positive one.

I went on line and reserved two tickets from DFW-Tel Aviv for July 8, 2008. We wanted to stay approx 2 weeks and I only had to adjust our return by one day (July 23). I could have booked the tickets entirely on line but did not have enough miles in my account for both.

I called an agent, was only on hold for approx 1 minute and about 20 minutes later she was emailing both confirmations to me.

And . . . our flight times are good! Thank you Delta!

Here's wishing success to everyone with their travel plans.

Sandy, great job! I too have had great success with Delta & FF miles. My last two trips with Delta were both on award tickets. FC from SAV to SFM in July. And coach SAV-STT Aug/Sat, a Saturday arrival & departure. Agents on line were very helpful.

I have a recent success story about Delta, also. I found FF tickets in the amount we wanted to use and confirmed mine, but when I tried to do hubby's I kept getting an error message. I called an agent who had no better luck than I did, but told me to keep trying on line because another agent was probably working on the same flights holding up seats. Oh yeah - that was the ticket and they have now been booked and confirmed. On to hotels and rental car issues!

I've not had many problems either using my Skymiles as long as we were flexible. We've got two biz tkts on the AF Lax-CDG-Lax non-stops for the end of this month that I booked in Aug.

Sandy, congratulations, but get ready for the baking hot weather in all parts of the country :)

Hey . . . I live in north Texas . . . it's routinely 110° here in the summer . . . at least in Israel, I'll be "traveling" and having a great time . . . here, I would just be working.

July is the only time my friend and I can go and stay two weeks (and some days) . . . we go when we can . . . and we drink plenty of ICBs (icy cold beers).
