Fees on Spirit Airlines
 

I've been on Spirit Airlines website but still cannot determine if there is a fee for checked baggage. I understand that there is a fee for carryon and that if not purchased in advance the charge will be around $100. So, is the checked bag free? If not, what is the fee?

Very clear in the chart. For domestic, $18 for 1st, $25 for 2nd, $75 for each of the next three. That's if you pay in advance. More if you do it at check-in.

The $18 fee is if you're a member of Spirit's $9 fare club. The club costs $59 per year.

The chart for non-members is the second section-$28 for the first bag; $35 for the second if done online.

If done at the airport its $38/$45.

And, yes, beginning Nov 6, fees for a carryon bag not paid for online will be $100.
