You're kinda slow today, Rkkwan. Keep looking on the European board.

If you are smiling about the no alcohol comment, it was in my Gateraid bottle.
|
When I first read that wally enjoyed a visit to an alcohol-free place, I thought surely a troll had hacked into wally's account for the purpose of making anti-wally posts. But the Gatorade bottle explains a lot, so thanks for clarifying that, wally. Don't forget your Gatorade bottle next time you fly a US based airline. :-)
Cheers. ((d)) |
Here is some more advice for wally!
Don't even think about flying LAN Chile or Peru on their domestic routes. You can't buy alcohol even if you wanted to. The couple of local flights I took were on Airbus 320, all 1 class. The flights were ~1 hour. There was food service (a free sandwich and what looked like a piece of cake) and water, juices, soda, all free, but NO ALCOHOL for sale or otherwise. So, if you ever come to South America and fly LAN, be prepared. I'm not picking on LAN as it did a great job, especially in F on the long distance routes :-D, with some of the most beautiful FAs in the business, but I just wanted wally to know the little fact. :-) BTW, wally? did you go "swimsuit opptional" in the pool? :-D |
Oh, I'm always promoting white wine in the 7-UP bottles and red wine in the Coke bottles. :))

I can not tell a lie. Yes, I did go in the hot springs without a suit--or tie.
:-) It is more natural but I did see two people (1 guy and 1 lady) wear a suit. If you're feeling a little stressed or just want to relax, you should check out the place. The hot pool is like 108--I could hardly stand it, so I got in the cold pool--about 50 degrees and then I could tolerate the hot pool. The meditation pool is large--holds about 75 people and the temperature is between 97 and 101. Last year I saw several deer near the pool as I soaked. Their prices are very reasonable. Guess you will need to check out FainaAgain's advice, AA the next time you make that flight. Vodka and Gateraid isn't bad. I haven't drank a soda for years. Their evil! Forgot to mention that when I flew American Airlines last week, I walked past a couple in First Class who had the smelliest McDonald's fries. I'd like to recommend to American Airlines that they let the SEX word stay in "2 1/2 Men" and announce it is against company policy to eat fries in First Class. :)) |
Gatorade bottle? Done that myself couple of times, in my younger days...:-D
Sitting at the very nice Admirals Club in Santiago, waiting for my flight to Miami. The Lima-Santiago flight in F was wonderful again. The FAs were not as exotically beautiful as the other crew I experienced, but very service orientated and always smiling. Tonight I should experience some of the best LAN crew as it's their premier route outside of SCL-Madrid (I believe). As I was posting, we experienced a mild earthquake at the airport. The building was shaking for about 10-15 seconds. I was reassured that there is nothing to worry about as they get these little ones about 2-3 times a week. The last BIG one was in the 80's. Plus, the buildings at this very nice, shiny, new airport facility are build up to the latest eartquake standards (or so they told me....) :-) Time to go to Santiago, catch a nice lunch, do some last minute shopping.... Will be home tomorrow late morning. This month long trip was an eye opener. Santiago and especially Vina Del Mar and Easter Island, Chile will become one of my top recommendations as one of the best vacation destinations. 2 thumbs up for Chile!!! and for LAN as well. |
I heard the flight attendants were all guys tonight. :))
