Family Vacation to Anywhere?

Hi! I am trying to plan a family vacation for my family of 8 during the second week of August. I am trying to keep it budget friendly. We are not against flying, but tickets seem to be costly when you need 8 (FYI: we will fly out of Boston Logan). We also are not against traveling outside of the USA if it is cheapest enough.

Where is the best place that we can have an amazing vacation but save a little cash?

You need to give us your budget in dollars for airfare, accommodations, food and activities otherwise we are just guessing at what you can afford.

If you are on a tight budget you can save money by staying closer to home.

Head up/over to Vermont. It's an incredibly beautiful state. Or up along the coast of New Hampshire or Maine.

There's no "cheap" way to fly 8 people out of the country :-)

Hi guys! Thanks for answers!

We are from southern NH. I would say that our budget is around $5,000, give or take. The ages? The 6 kids range in age from 21 to 10. We're really up to anything; beaches, historical sights, ect. Thanks again.

I can't see how flying is going to work - even at a $400 RT ticket, that only leaves you $1800 for the rest of the trip. So start with planning a driving vacation in 2 vehicles (8 people).

How many hotel rooms would you figure you would need for the 8 of you? Would a rented house in 1 location work for you?

Maybe a cruise out of Boston? If not, I would think you would have to drive somewhere.

Plenty of historical sites in Nova Scotia and beaches in Prince Edward Island. Easy drive from NH and you're also out of the country. Rent a big apartment for a week.
