Emirates: Laptop Power

I'm flying Emirates business class from JFK to Dubai. Equipment is a Boeing 777-300ER. The Emirates website says that the business class cabin has "laptop recharging points available within the cabin". I'm not sure what that means. It doesn't sound like there's a plug available for every seat, but I'm wondering whether there is a plug for every row of seats? Or could it possibly mean that you have to leave your seat to charge your laptop somewhere else? Has anyone else flown this route? Thanks for your help.

Based on information on seatexpert.com and seatguru.com, there's no powerport by the seat. Most likely means you have to leave your seat.

Hi fluffnfold,
I'll be interested in your experience with Emirates and Dubai-that is also how we are getting to Africa, although only using EQ from DXB-NBO. Hope you'll be writing a trip report.

Moremiles,

Emirates is fantastic!!! Superb service, IFE probably the best....and great on-time record! Dubai airport is not too big, so easy to get around.

I travel with Emirates a lot......

I hear good things about it but we're not on one of their better planes(332) from DXB-NBO if we are even going this year(may have to cancel/postpone). Was really looking forward to trying them out!
