Eithad Airlines

Have any travellers any feedback about the service on Ethiad Airlines. I've booked a Gatwick to Bangkok return flight in June for a ridiculously low price. Is the maxim you pay for what you get true in this case?

Heard from Abu Dhabi residents that it is OK in flight service but sometimes on ground it is a bit iffy as not much in the way of support. Planes are new, so i would not get too bothered. SHould be OK within limits of any long distance flight (i.e invariably uncomfortable with mediocre to crap food).

Hi

Have any of you guys flown this airline lately? I talked to a friend of mine and she used it from London to KL and was very happy with it. The only problem was the long wait at the airport in Abu Dhabi.

I flew on Etihad Airlines last year from LON to BKK via AUH. They were fine, LON-AUH was on a chartered plane with Spanish crew, AUH-BKK-AUH was on Etihad, AUH-LON was on a brand new 777 (I think) with cameras where you can see the view from the cockpit. Food was very good, they had multi-national cabin crew. They were fine and I'd use them again.
