No. I don't think airfares will drop any time soon.

If you look at seatmaps that pop up with reservation planning, you will see that there are still a lot of empty seats on some popular routes. I'm hoping fares drop a bit, but I'm not holding out too much hope. I'm planning ORD-BKK for the holidays, for about 3 weeks, but prices are really crazy right now. I'm going to just watch them for the time being.

Well I admit, I've never flown to Nicaragua in November! I'm just saying that because I vacation a couple times a year, usually returning to the same places (Mexico, Hawaii, Europe) and have been giving about the same price for plane tickets for years now. No real significant jumps either direction.
