Discount airfare to Israel Spring 2009

Posted this question on the Mideast board, but no one has responded. Want to go in either 3/09 or 5/09. when should I begin checking and any special sites (aware of kayak.com) I should be checking? Thanks!

Nobody posts prices earlier than 11 months out, so check back around the first of May (08) or July.

And even then, it's highly unlikely you'll find any discount fares. Airlines rarely post sales that far out in my experience.

Any thoughts on what to budget for airfare from CMH-TLV or another major city in Midwest?

It's around $1000 - $1200 for this year, and I see no reason it will be any less next year.

You can fly from CMH to TLV by flying either to JFK or Atlanta and then nonstop on Delta. El Al flies nonstop out of JFK also.

Or fly CO from CMH to EWR, then non-stop on CO from EWR to TLV.

I think it can often be cheaper to get a cheap ticket to Europe (if that is possible), and then a separate ticket to TLV.

aliska,

I've just posted a long-ish reply on ME board. Just click your name. Another routing is to connect via Toronto on Air Canada, but my Pittsburghian folks prefer EWR connection on CO.

Not sure if DL via Atlanta is non-stop direct anymore.

Delta does flies nonstop to TLV from both JFK and ATL.
