Delta vs Alitalia in Business class

We have a choice of Dleta or Alitalia using miles to fly business calss from New York to Italy. Can anyone compare the two choices assuming the connections are similar? Thanks in advance.

If you want to fly directly from NY, you will be taking Alitalia. To take Delta, you will need to go to Atlanta. In my opinion, Delta has better business class than Alitalia, but you will be adding extra time to your flight to go down to Atlanta.

Delta has nonstop to Rome out of JFK-it just gave Alitalia its nonstop to Milan(it may come back again this summer).Starting May 1st there will be a nonstop to Rome out of Cincinnati.Delta flys to Venice,Milan and Rome nonstop out of Atlanta.<BR>

I stand corrected. Dutyfree is right - there is one Delta flight from JFK to Rome at 5:30 PM. All the others are code share with Alitalia. I still say, however, that Delta's business class is better.

Yes, we'll fly New York to Rome and return from Venice. Glad to hear that Dleta has a good business class. Thanks for the info.
