Delta Skymiles transfer points to Southwest?

Can Delta SkyMiles points be transferred to Southwest or to any other Freq Flyer Programs? How many points does Delta SkyMiles require for a domestic RT ticket? Thanks.

No. You can not transfer miles from any program to any other program - that defeats the purpose of customer loyalty. If zairlines are partners or in some alliance you can earn and spend miles for a flight from the program on a partner airline - and this is all explained in each airlines FF portion of the website.

Miles for RT domestic range from 25,000, 40,000, 50,000 depending on availability. It is obviously most difficult to get the lowest rate on the most popular routes at the most popular times (such as going from a cold climate to Florida in February).

Go to the Delta website and read about the FF program. You sound like you do not travel very frequently - so be careful with expiration dates of the miles. You have to travel or use the program or the miles disappear.
