travelgourmet - I just don't see any risk. One's current DL miles will expire anyways. What's there to lose if one move it to NW right now? Even if after all miles become DL again, would DL actually separate out some miles to expire before others? [They did so with their old program, and AA also has done something like that. But it's unlikely.]

And again, I don't see any risk in moving the miles right now.

I agree the risk is very small. My point is just that 99 cents is pretty cheap, and worth paying just to avoid that tiny risk.

I have a question.

I have my FF account with NWA (World Perks). I have a US Bank credit card which I always use and receive FF miles for my World Perks account.

In the future will I receive FF miles with Delta when using my US Bank credit card since as I understand it NWA will no long exsist. I am so confused about this subject. Thanks!

So far, there's no indication what's going to happen with the USBand WP card. I have that one too. DL is partner with AMEX (and AMEX has put a lot of money in DL), so I'd think they'll terminate the relationship with USBank eventually.

Hi Ray, did you get the email from NWA today advising that one should apply for the Gold Delta SkyMile Amex card and after the 1st purchase 20,000 miles will be deposted into one's SkyMile a/c. An additional 5,000 miles if one has two additional people added to the card a/c. The first year annual fee of $95.00 will be waived.

That's just the general Delta AmEx offer available to anyone. It really has nothing to do with NWA, but might be a sign they are doing away with the NWA credit card.

Kybourbon, it is because when NWA ceases to exsist so to speak and becomes Delta the US Bank CC that has the World Perks FF miles will not..as World Perks will no longer exsist either. The World Perks FF miles can be transfered to Delta SkyMiles a/c of course. But, again, if one continues to use the US Bank credit card after NWA no longer exsist there will not be any FF miles acquired if using the US Bank CC.

Looks like US Bank has eliminated the annual fee on all of their Worldperks card products (not just first year annual fee waived). To me, it seems most likely that these cards will no longer be airline affinity cards after WP is gone.
