Delta Flight Cancellations

Just wanted to make you all aware that Delta has canceled flights due to weather conditions and the pilot overtime situation. Our flight to Atlanta was canceled this weekend with no notification by Delta. I noticed that our flight was no longer listed on Delta's flight schedule webpage. There are no other flights available leaving from our airport and so now we have to leave from another airport. If anyone is taking Delta for this holiday weekend, call ahead to make sure your flight is still scheduled. Hope everyone has a happy holiday and great new year!
Yes, Delta cancelled my early Christmas Day flight as well, although they did call me at 3:00 am to tell me the happy news. I was booked on a much later flight and as a result missed Christmas entirely. This year, the Grinch wore a Delta pilot's uniform!!

Yeah...well it started last March...our flight was cancelled along with the one before it...two flights to FLL from Boston...reason given...
1. mechanical failure
2. fire in a hotel the pilot was staying in.
Both excuses are non excuses as far as I was concerned...400 people stranded..half catching cruise ships...people literally missed their ships...
This past Thanksgiving, my daughter was stranded in Orlando after having had a (this is not a joke) 3 hour flight was Key West (They ran out of fuel during the circling)...her Delta flight from Boston was late (wonder why????)
This Thanksgiving... our flight from Boston to FLL was an hour late because the pilot thought he noticed engine trouble (which I doubt)...so we were an hour late getting out of Boston into FLL....had to wait for gates, etc.
Delta...get your act together...pay the pilots what they want...they deserve it if they are getting us to where we want safely...
I'm sure the CEO over at Delta is making more than any one family can spend!

Oh, I forgot...daughter's luggage was lost for two days...Delta...
And to clarify...her flight out of Orlando was coming from Boston...the flight coming in from Boston was over three hours late...
I disagree that the pilot is the grinch...I think Delta Upper Management should be held accountable.
The pilots get us safely to our destination. What is it they are asking for? I assume money. Again, CEOs make more money then they need...
My husband and I had our flight from Oahu to Dallas cancelled on Feb 25th, no reason given. The staff at Oahu put us up at a horrible hotel, situated under an overpass, with green slime covering the bottom of their swimming pool. The vouchers were not enough to cover our meals, and they lost our luggage which was supposed to be delivered at our hotel that evening. We lost a day at work, and ended up on the same flight 24 hours later. We were never given a reson for the cancellation, and there was not even an attempt made to get us out on another carrier the same evening. A terrible ending to a beautiful trip.
