DELTA FF miles vanish!
 

Delta has just invoked the most horrible policy I ever have experienced from any company, hopefully in my life. It has killed off precious miles by backing up the expiration date by a year - sometimes hundreds of thousands of miles per person!

It claims to have sent out mailed warnings a few months previously, which I certainly didn't get. Even if you read the following notice, it doesn't reveal the full horror that your miles that were given with a 12/2007 expiry have been RETROACTIVELY snuffed! What can be done - the phone reps will not budge - anyone gonna fly Delta again? http://www.delta.com/skymiles/about_...jsp#expiration

If this is the most horrible policy you've ever experienced, you're in for serious trouble ahead, as there are other horrible policies lurking in the depths.

I wouldn't take it out on the phone reps. Their probably in India and there is nothing they can do about it.

Hmm...not only did I recieve emails about this, but also a letter or two via snail mail. I donated a couple thousand miles to Make-A-Wish which kept my miles active.
Do they have your correct address info?

Oh wait - I'm thinking of USair.
BUT, I did get a mailing from Delta offering magazine subscriptions by using miles to keep my acct active. Kinda looked like junk mail, so I'm glad I opened it.
