Call them right away! Find out why the change, tell them you have to leave on Monday.

Have you left for the trip or is this for a future trip? If for future, you have the right to a full refund without any fee and you can book on another airline if you want.

IF you are already in Europe, don't wait a minutes to get this sorted out.

I see this isn't u til May. I mentioned to you on another thread to fly SAS from Dulles to CPH. Fares are around 600€ for mid May.

I would cancel Delta and go with SAS. great flights and service on SAS.

First thing to find out is if there are any Delta flights - including codeshares on other airlines that would get you home on the Monday. Then do the same for other airlines. If you find a cheaper flight then phone Delta and cancel your booking - they should have offered you this as an option already - and rebook on the new flight . If you can't find cheaper then still phone Delta and ask them to put you on one of the flights you found.

alanR - you've been way too logical for most of the newer posters.

They don't want rational information, just want to complain without doing any legwork themselves.

You might get a demerit if you keep acting this way.

Since when does a “schedule change” turn into 1) checking your bags 4 times for a round trip 2) losing your first honeymoon night in St Lucia and having to spend it in Atlanta...losing a day. 3) Extending your trip a day on the return with another night in Atlanta not planned or paid for????

The customers are out of pocket the extra costs 2 nights of rooms, 2 extra bag check costs for 4 bags, losing a day of a planned trip and wasting a day on the return. And after Delta customer service was contacted, all they would say is that they could do nothing……after 2 people, nothing but say it was a schedule change. So much for customer service at Delta…….they don’t care!
