January 2 Update on Delta: December 27, almost 90 minutes late leaving Atlanta for Paris. Horrible food onboard. Screwed up our seats - cramped plane, full - and talk about security: some guy without a passport was almost boarded. By the way, please explain why Delta would wait until 20 minutes before takeoff time to begin boarding a 777 - especially since they searched every 8th person, including shoes.<BR><BR>Now, January 1, at CDG Airport in Paris - huge lines, mob scene - this airport matches Delta to a tee - both are crappy and bad for consumers!!!! Delta was almost 2 hours late departing, thus missed our connections in Atlanta - which was a real scene at both Customs and at the connections desk. Horrible seats coming back - 300 pound plus guy in front of me who seemed intent upon resting his head in my lap and a teen age girl to my left, on a sugar high, who seemed intent upon crawling all over me for almost 9 hours. Two things kept me from joining in - she's not legal, and my companion was across the ailse. The planes landed safely, for that I am thankful. But Delta is one LOSER of an airline, and if anyone tells you different, take a close look - they have a relative working there. By the way, Paris was FABULOUS as usual. And that Cheap Eats Book - wow, worth its weight in gold. I plan to post some notes on the Europe board, but wanted to bash Delta some first. Ciao, Leone

So if you hate Delta so much, why did you fly them.<BR>Air France flys out of Atlanta, but then Delta Codeshares, so you would have to ask your Agent who is operating the flight.<BR>I agree Delta is below standard. I try to fly Air Tran whenever possible.

JPA, we selected Delta for two reasons: the cheapest tix, and it'll get us to 100,000 which we'll use for free tix to Buenos Aires. And if you look at SAA, which we use to Africa, they partner with Delta, so we get those miles as well. After we cash them in, so long to Delta. Delta is bad. Ciao, L

We just flew Delta from the Pac. NW to Orlando. This was our first time with this airline and our last. Their service sucks and the portions they give are so small. When they serve coffee it looks like they are using shot glasses. And Delta management...just give us the damn can when your seving drinks. Not a cup full of ice with a little soda. No way will I ever fly Delta again. I'd rather be herded onto southwest then fly delta.

I am in the camp that Delta Sucks. I fly roughly 70 times a year and I cringe when Delta is my only option. They are the most conceited people I have ever dealt with. Please dont ask them for a seat while they are playing on their computer or talking in a group, you will end up in the cargo hold.<BR><BR>I am with you....<BR><BR>Delta sucks, Delta sucks, Delta sucks
