CPH to MUC $142 vs. $838 -- why the difference? Anything in between?
 

Maersk Air lists $142 as the price of a OW ticket between Copenhagen and Munich, while Lufthansa lists the cheapest price as $838. How can there be such a difference? Is Maersk a risky airline? Is Lufthansa playing the American game of charging double if you don't book a round-trip?

Can anyone suggest another airline for a NON-STOP flight between these cities? Or should I buy the Maersk ticket and run to the bank?

Another option which flies the route you are looking at is Snowflake (www.flysnowflake.com). I think they are part of SAS.

Snowflake and Maersk are budget airlines which offer competetive one way fares. Lufthansa may not offer this - have you priced a round-trip with Lufthansa? You could then use the outbound trip and then just throw the return ticket. You may find this fare is much cheaper than pricing a one-way with Lufthansa.

I do practically all my travel in Europe on the various budget airlines since the flights are all reasonably short. I would not hesitate to use Maersk or Snowflake but I have not used either so can't offer any specific comments.

Believe it or not, RT on Lufthansa is over $1200 (economy's cheapest)! For a 1 1/2hr. flight! I thought the US had the lock on bizarre fare structure. Will look into Snowflake -- anyone have experience with them or Maersk?

Huh. Tried Snowflake, but they ask for country of residence, with a dropdown menu list of countries -- all European; USA is not an option. So I can't even get into the website -- suggests they aren't set up for on-line booking in dollars, at the very least.

OK, got in pretending I was a UK resident (so site would be in English) -- and I find some great flights and prices ca. 68 Pounds = about US$120.

But AMAZING!-- since the Snowflake website doesn't allow booking online from US, and since Snowflake is an SAS carrier, I went to the SAS website and AMAZING! many of the same flights, with same flight numbers, are listed and can be booked BUT for <i> US$818 !!</i>

Anyone have a suggestion how to buy a Snowflake ticket directly from US?
