CONTINENTAL BUSINESS FIRST TO BERLIN
I just purchased a Newark/Berlin/Newark ticket in BusinessFirst. After doing so, I realized that the aircraft they are using for that route is a 757-200 International (752)-- a small, cramped plane for international. Has anyone flown it? I have the worst feeling that the BusinessFirst seats aren't Continental's usual wonderful sleeper seats. I fear this will be the same as domestic first class -- 17" recline; no foot rest. I hope someone can tell me I'm wrong!

It's BF on 757-200. From what I've read, the seats are just as comfortable as those on the 767s. And same food/service. Main difference is the AV system. While each seat has its own monitors, the number of AV channels is fewer than than on the 767/777.

As I recall from my last flight on 757 international, the BF seats are the better, more spacious and more reclining version than on domestic 757's, but not as nice as the new ones on the 777. The service was fine, too.

Any suggestions on a seat in that cabin. Seatguru.com suggested 1A or 1B. I was able to snag 1B. Good choice?

From my memory, as well as online photo database, they usually load the 752 at EWR from the front door (1L). So, if you decide to take 1B, you may want to stay at the President's Club until the last minute to board or else you'll be "greeting" steerage passengers like myself. ;) [Don't know how they do it at TXL.]
Also, seatguru.com mentioned about light from the galley for 1B. |
