connections in houston

changing planes on united. coming in from boston. most flights give us an hour 15 minutes to change to flight to Corpus Christi.

Is this enough time???

RoamsAround May 27th, 2014 05:35 AM

Should be fine but don't dilly-dally while walking between gates.

NewbE May 27th, 2014 01:22 PM

Should be plenty of time even if your gates are far apart.

DebitNM May 27th, 2014 05:30 PM

Bush or Hobby?

JaneB May 27th, 2014 06:12 PM

I don't think United flies to Hobby--but not positive. You should not have a problem at either airport, however. Have a great visit in Corpus Christi!

NewbE May 28th, 2014 07:21 AM

I assumed Bush because I don't think those puddle jumpers jump off from Hobby...

1h15m is plenty of time to connect at IAH. You will most likely arrive from Boston into terminal C, and depart for Corpus Christi from terminal B. You connect between the two terminals without leaving the secure area by using the train linking the terminals. Signage is good, should be no problem.

I assumed it was Bush as well. I fly United through Houston all the time and have never had a flight through Hobby.

P_M Jun 2nd, 2014 05:16 PM

This is completely off the subject but I still call in Intercontinental. I just can't get used to calling it Bush.

NewbE Jun 2nd, 2014 07:40 PM

Actually, P_M, nor can I, and I don't call National (in DC), Reagan, either. :-)

JaneB Jun 3rd, 2014 03:35 AM

I say "Houston International" and "Houston Hobby". If someone says "Bush", I don't know what they are talking about without thinking about it.

Seamus Jun 3rd, 2014 07:48 PM

Artifact from the days when I lived in the Memorial area and drove to IAH, I still call it Houston Intergalactic.

NewbE Jun 4th, 2014 07:04 AM

Intergalactic! Is that really what it was called? That's excellent--I am using it from now on.

P_M Jun 4th, 2014 07:39 AM

It was called Intercontinental, but I like Intergalactic a lot more.

Intergalactic would be a good name for NASA.

NewbE Jun 4th, 2014 07:41 AM

I guess I thought "Intergalactic" might have been a reference to the space program in Houston, P_M. Ambitious!

rkkwan Jun 5th, 2014 12:51 AM

All my Cantonese speaking relatives refer the two as "big airport" and "small airport". So easy.

JaneB Jun 5th, 2014 04:34 AM

I like that, rkkwan. :)

NewbE Jun 5th, 2014 08:02 AM

Me, too!
