Connecting from AA to British Airways at Heathrow: terminals?

Can anyone tell me where AA flights from the U.S. land at Heathrow now and which terminal is used for connections to Nice? Last time around we landed at Terminal 3 and then were taken on the security bus to Terminal 1.

AA arrives at T3 and NCE departs from T5. Follow the signs to "flight connections" and you will be bused to T5, go through security, and be released into the T5 shopping mall. Usually it takes around 30-40 min., depending on which gate in the Outback your AA plane parks at.

Thanks, Gardyloo (love your screen name, BTW). I was hoping we'd get to see Terminal 5 this time around. We have several hours between flights, thankfully.

The T5 shopping mall is amazing. Lock up your credit cards if you have several hours between flights.

That sounds great! Maybe I can find Bendicks of Mayfair's chocolate mints this time.

Underhill,

When we arrived at T3 this spring, the plane was at so remote a spot that it took about 15 minutes to get to the terminal. That time should be added to a transfer and security process that totaled about an hour. There was a substantial debate among the jet-lagged passengers concerning a discount for not arriving at the gate versus being charged extra for the bus trip. It was lot more fun in the experience than in the telling.
