Commuter flight needed from SAN to ONT or BUR

I will be in San Diego for four days and have scheduled a meeting for one of those days up in San Gabriel Valley. When I did this, I assumed that I cou;ld catch a flight from SAN to either ONT or BUR. I used to fly weekly courier trips between BUR/SNA/SAN back in the days befores emails and reliabale affordable fax machines, and I just assumed this was still possible. I have now found that there are no flights direct betweeen SAN and ONT/BUR. The best I can do is a $300 flight routed through LAS, LAX or Phoenix. There has to be another option? Any ideas at all? Even a puddle jumper into Bracket Field would be better. I hate to make the drive up and back if I can get some kind of flight.

Perhaps some limo or car service?

AMTRAK also has about 10 trains a day each direction.

I already checked out Amtrak. If I were going to Anaheim, it would great. I'd still have to drive up from Anaheim.

I miss PSA.

Have you thought about taking Amtrak all the way to LA Union station and taking the Metrolink to San Gabriel Valley? There are two routes, one ending in Pasadena, and one going down the 10 Freeway all the way to San Bernardino. The Metrolink website for some reason does not show the Pasadena route, although it has been running for about a year.

lol I was looking to simplify the trip, hence the commuter flight. I used to work in Burbank and fly between there and San Diego all the time on early morning commuters. I guess those days are gone.

With all those planes, trains and automoiles I'd spend most of day changing trains, parking and renting new cars, just to get there and back--hardly worth the effort for a quick meeting.

I'll just drive up.
