Cheapest way to keep AA miles

hi

i remember SkyMall had Abebooks (used books) on its list but couldn't find it anymore...
What is the cheapest way nowadays to get some miles and extend thier validity?
i live 'over the ocean' & i have no American CC.
thanks

aby

p.s. i've used Points.com once....

if any of the merchants at aadvantage shopping (https://www.aadvantageeshopping.com/) can ship to you, you'll get miles.

alternatively, if you have some spare miles/points in hotel program that you can x-fer, that keeps your miles alive.

aby, I remember you asking this question a few years ago too, it's difficult to try to keep miles alive when you don't live in the US. Your timing couldn't be better, if the miles don't expire until Feb or March, 2011, I'd sign up for this promotion with Best Western:- https://goldcrownclub.bestwestern.co...ptype=american
Total cost, $0. That will give you 250 miles and extend the validity of the miles for another 18 months. Hope this helps.

rizzuto's suggestion is good too, definitely keep any of your hotel miles active to transfer at a later date if need be.

I believe walmart.com is advantage shopping partner. If you can order a mp3 download on the website for 94c that might be an easy way.

Be aware that it can take 4-6 weeks for advantage shopping credits to show up in your AAFF account.

The cheapest may be a survey on Opinion Place if you are selected: http://www.opinionplace.com/main.adp?

aby, I hope you see this post. I had signed up with Best Western at the same time I'd posted on this thread, the 250 bonus miles still haven't been posted to my account. If you do choose to sign up with Best Western definitely use one of the other suggestions also, as you don't want your miles to expire.

In addition to Advantage Shopping, there is also Advantage Dining.
