Any suggestions on when, or where to find "cheap seat". Currently getting price neighborhood of $1100. ((which is probably not a bad price))....just looking for a better price???

It's extremely high if you're traveling from Frankfurt.

I've been looking for flights to those cities (guess you are also looking at a cruise) and can't believe the cost. I'm in Ottawa and am finding prices of approx $1,500 cdn.

RickT. Have you considered leaving from Syracuse NY. Flights are C$200 plus cheaper from there.

Hi Casyn, just looked it up and it's actually more expensive... go figure. Maybe it's the routing I'm looking for. I'll keep trying but I've even looked at Boston/NYC just in case with no luck.

BA had an incredible deal going about 6 weeks ago. Economy Plus from Tampa for $480 R/T. They were trying to promote their ecomomy plus service and as a result it was cheaper than regular ecomomy! I am travelling June 25-July 18 and will be coming from LA. Like you, I was finding fares to be over $1100 from LAX to Europe, but did this and even with the cost of a Delta flight from LA-TPA this still worked out cheaper than regular ecomomy from LAX!
