Cheap Honeymoon

I am helping my best friend plan her honeymoon. We're thinking about somewhere in Costa Rica or Europe for her and her groom, to give you an idea of what we're thinking about, but we're open to suggestions, since neither of us have traveled much and wouldn't want to miss out on a gem. We'd also like to not spend a lot, but, again, we're open to every type of suggestion, whether full-blown luxury or dirty hostel, so we could at least take a look at it. Any thoughts?

For a honeymoon, I'd definitely go for a "dirty hostel".

(sorry, my bad)

"Dirty hostel"? Really?? Kind of hard to take this question seriously but...

Sorry but this question is impossible to answer without knowing what kind of people the couple is, what's their interests, where they are starting out from, what kind of holiday they seek.

Ditto about not being to give a good answer. It would be useful to know where your friends live, where they've traveled before (I know you said not much), and what would they consider a "gem".

Who would want anything from a "dirty hostel" to "full-blown luxury"? Better to give us a budget and length of trip.

You might also try www.budgettravelonline.com (the website for the magazine). They have both a good archive of articles about many destinations that make good honeymoon spots and also current travel specials.

I would use inexpensive instead of cheap.

Now start over.

I would start at www.airfarewatchdog.com and see what is "inexpensive" as a flight, book the flight, and then try VRBO or Priceline for the hotel or condo.
