When was that one time as BA haven't had weight limits on hand luggage for several years - unless you are trying to take gold bricks as hand luggage

suze: was that several years ago? They used to have a 6 kg limit for carry ons. But that ended quite some time ago.

A few years ago I bought a good-sized Baggalini tote that's large enough to hold my handbag, meds, a book, several New Yorkers, a camera, a travel folder, a pashmina scarf, and an an inflatable foot rest. So far that's been considered a personal item.

I have the largest LeSport Sac (barring the actual 'luggage' duffel types) and its never been challenged as a personal item either.

Where did you get the inflatable foot rest? I'd be really interested in one of those. Years ago I bought a folding footrest but I hate it -- very heavy and it slides around under the seat in front.Think I paid $18 and used it maybe twice.

Sorry sorry. Yes you're right. I'm behind the times.

I more meant it as a general suggestion (I shouldn't have mentioned BA specifically) that people seem to focus on the exact size of a carryon but forget about the various weight restrictions.
