Carry-on question - elec razor ok?

Has anyone carried on an electric razor with current regs in place? Don't see anything on TSA web page that prohibits elec razors but better safe than sorry. I don't plan to check any luggage. Thanks.

Hi PotenzaRon, I would check with your airline but personally I don't see why not. Passengers can bring their cellphones, laptops etc. aboard the plane. And you are correct the TSA doesn't mention electric razor's that I have seen.

Electric razors have never been banned on domestic flights. But always check with your airline for the latest information if you are not traveling domestically.

I've flown on CO and SW several times since new regs went into effect and have had no problems whatsoever with electric razor.

But what about mains only razors - the cord could be used as a garrot

Hi AlanRow, couldn't a person's belt, or a tie or a scarf also be used as a garrot? I would imagine that anything that could be used as a weapon on just one other person wouldn't be to effective since it seems that passengers as well as the airline crew have managed to get any passenger causing a problem under control from what I have read. Gads, what a world we live in!

Except for fact that thread would be immediately pulled and FBI and TSA officials would appear at our doors immediately - maybe would could start a thread about all the stuff we ARE allowed to bring on planes and how dangerous they are.

Like corkscrews.

Hi gail, how about a shoestring? Could that be used as a garrot? We gals here in N CA are always thinking I guess.

Or the real tableware they let first class passengers use - like no terrorists would ever fly first class.
