Cancelled ticket British Airways

At Christmas, a BA ticket I bought for my daughter to come home to Idaho from her teaching post in Kuwait was cancelled at Heathrow because of weather, missed connection. She couldn't get them to refund/credit the ticket and I can't get them to answer any phone number I had. So now I'm trying flight insurance claim but 2-4 month delay. Shouldn't there be a number and a live person at BA and at least a credit offered. When I called CheapTickets, they referred me to the airline!

Did you buy the ticket thru Cheap Tickets? If YES, call them back.Sit in their face until you get what you want.THEY ARE YOUR TRAVEL AGENT!! Their job is to be your ADVOCATE.Keep asking for a Higher Up.Dont give up.

I heard of canceled FLIGHTS, but never of canceled TICKETS.... The airline has a responsibility to honor the tickt and find an alternative when they cancel flights, and even when a passenger misses his/her connection (due to late flight arrival)...

So this is weird.

Just wondering how did your daughter make it back home... Not swimming I hope.
