UA miles devaluation - who is next?

Now that United is making a huge mile devaluation what other airlines will follow -- maybe AA is next?

This will definitely make me rethink my mile earning strategy for next year.

Just read about this a couple of minutes ago on TPG Daily News 11/02/2013 and am not a happy camper. We usually use miles to travel on Lufthansa to/from Europe, and the devaluation is hitting UA partners especially hard.

Southwest has as well. I've heard they are talking about charging for bags as well.

Since their cheap fuel futures have been used up, Southwest has been trying to find a new way to make money while still selling cheap tickets.

Makes me thankful I have award tickets already booked for next year which uses up almost all of our mileage.

With gas down to $3 a gallon I find it strange that they are making these changes now.
