Booking a flight

Has anybody ever booked there flight a week or two before going to there destination. Especially if the place your going is a major attaction. It seems flights go down everyday almost. Just asking.

Yes, I book flights a week or two before going from time to time, including flights to major attractions.

Thankfully I've never been on a flight that went down.

Booked flights on line as close as 3 hours before departure and in person at the airport as close as 1.5 hour before departure.

I met going down in the price. Not the plane actually going down. My question is basically about the pricing of the ticket.

sorry, I misread what you wrote.

You say your question is about the price of the ticket. But what's the actual question? We're not mind readers.

I booked flights & hotel 11 hours before leaving to spend a New Years in Jamaica 2 years ago.

What I learned from this - is that some sites (expedia) could not book the flight that quickly. They booked the hotel, but I had to choose a flight again (now 6 hours before) on another site.

I typically use http://www.cheapticketlinks.com to search for my flights. Not only is it useful, the writer that finds the deals is entertaining to read on a normal basis anyway.

Good luck - don't let being last minute stop you! Spontaneity is where the fun is.
