I'm planning a trip to Europe for my Mom, Sister and myself. I have been before and neither of them have. My Mom and I will be leaving first and going to London from PHX. My sister will be joining us in Paris and we all plan to fly home together to PHX from Paris. I've priced itineraries every way from Sunday and I think I've found good ones but thought I'd check here first. We are planning to go end of March- early April. Our dates are flexible. My Mom and I plan to be gone for 12-14 days while my sister only 7-8.

For my Mom and I we can fly BA from PHX to LHR then CDG to PHX for $828.10 (incl taxes, fees, etc). We'll be taking the Eurostar to Paris.

My sister can get a RT from PHX to CDG also on BA for $837.86.

Do these fares sound good considering our unique itinerary and the need for us to fly home together? I'd like to have this part of planning done with and booked but not if fares will go down by more than $100.

That is not a very good price.
For fun I plugged in PHX to LHR and CDG to PHX using dates of 3/30 to 4/10 and came up with a price of $678.00. I used 1800flyeurope which I find usually has the best prices.Now that sounds like a good deal to me.

Agree that seems high. When we've gone in March, we've found some good fares in Dec, even Jan, and I think it's early for the airlines to known what their bookings will be for the spring. Your itinerary isn't unique - flying into LHR and out of CDG or vice versa is pretty common and your dates are flexible, so you have several things in your favor.

That said, it's still a crystal ball issue. If you find something you think is good, I'd book it and not look back.

1800flyeurope is a true consolidator. So when their tickets at a certain fare are gone there are no more at that price.I found out about it on here and they really do offer great deals.I booked my flights to Paris and home from Nice with them and saved about $150.00 a ticket.

Do you receive miles if you book with 1800flyeurope?

I really don't know but they took my delata FF # and that remains to be seen. They said it is up to the airline. That is also what is says on there web site so I guess you should check with the airline.

Consolidators work by buying blocks of seats at deep discounts and reselling them as a markup. They can be great if you have an iron clad schedule but if you have to change your schedule for any reason you are SOL - no refunds, no changes, period. It's like buying something that is marked "As is - no returns." Some (don't know if this includes 1800flyeurope) have started posting something along the lines of "any changes must be made in accordance with airline rules" which is just away of saying you are SOL, as those rules do not allow changes to consolidator tickets without huge penalties and additional costs, if at all. That's not to say it wouldn't work for you, and you can always buy trip interruption insurance, but you need to know the facts before buying.

FF credit depends on the airline's fare class in which the ticket is issued; earnings by fare class are posted on airline FF site. Unfortunately the fare class is not always displayed on the consolidator site prior to purchase and you have to ask.

I booked a trip to London with 1800flyEurope and did receive miles. This was 2 years ago on Northwest. Hope it helps.
