Best time to fly to Costa Rica?

My fiance and I are getting married next July and we thought we'd take our honeymoon the week between Christmas and New Year's since where he works he gets that entire week off and gets paid for it. I just did a price search online for plane tickets for this Christmas (since you can't get plane tickets for next year at that time yet) and tickets are about $300 more than they are any other time of the year. I think that nixes that idea! So when would be the cheapest time to fly there? We would be flying out of Seattle.

Best fares are usually during Wet/Green Season which runs May - Nov. Don't let Wet Season stop you. We've gone in Aug and had a great time and got to do all the activities we wanted. Nice time to see all the lush forests, etc.

Christmas is curing Dry Season which runs Dec - April.

Obviously, "curing" should be "during"

It's hard to know what airfares will be by late next year, but they are particularly expensive during the period around Christmas and New Year's. This is typically the most expensive time to travel to anywhere but Europe or some other place that's very cold. You'll find that hotels are also more expensive and may require a minimum stay during the holidays.
