Best Premium Economy to Copenhagen from DTW

If you've flown from Detroit to Copenhagen Premium Economy on any airline, what was the experience like, and would you recommend it? I'm more concerned with comfort than price for PE (I know there's a range), and would prefer only one plane change if possible.

Thanks!

When are you flying?

A quick check on ITA reveals it's cheaper to fly in business class out of Windsor ONT than in premium economy out of DTW.

Mid-May. Is the Windsor flight Air Canada?

Just checked ITA--those are longer flights with 2-3 stops....which means more chance of delays and/or missing a flight and getting stuck somewhere.

June is a little cheaper than May for PE on SAS.

May 16 (21 day return) Windsor-Toronto-Copenhagen, Air Canada, US$2052. Economy in the puddle jumper from YQG to YYZ, 787 in business YYZ-CPH.

Premium economy, same day, same AC flights, US$1655, or United (coach) to Newark, then SAS premium economy, $1909. (AC goes to $2036 the next day.)

With two stops (e.g. Toronto, Paris) the business class price falls to $1886 on the 16th.

By the way, comparable business class flights from DTW on the same days start at $2888 for Icelandair (which is closer to PE than international BC) with two stops or $4115 for the likes of AC or Delta with one each.

SAS definitely doesn't sound worth the money, thanks for the link.

Air Canada's quite reasonable in May when I would need to travel, and from DTW with only one stop, one chance for delays/luggage getting lost or delayed. DTW is much easier for me to get to than Windsor.

Thanks Gardyloo. Do people know where your nom de clavier comes from? :-)
