Best Fare Watching Website

What is the best fare watching website that will send you an alert when a fare drops? Travelocity has one, but I don't think you can select specific dates. Thanks!

Try Bing: http://www.bing.com/travel/?cid=46&_...JwEHxG4uXA2w__

It allows you to do searches for specific dates, shows you the history of fares for your destinations and provides a forecast with certainty percentage. When this website first appeared a few years ago, I ran a few mock searches and their predictions were accurate most of the time (not that difficult to do since airfares usually increase with the approaching departure date). Anyway, give it a try.

Yapta.com will track your exact flights if you have already booked and since you enter the fare you paid, they alert you when a drop in fare is worth the change fee.

They will also track flights you are interested in taking.

I have found YAPTA to be a waste of time

I have been using Bing for a couple of weeks now. I really like their fare predictor tool. No idea if it works or not but it gives me a sense of confirmation that my decisions are good.

I have used Yapta since it first came out. B4 UA rescinded their policy of giving vouchers when a fare went down, I got $100's of $s in fare vouchers because of the notifcations that Yapta sent to me. I found Yapta very useful.

I have had Yapta tracking a bermuda flight for me on delta for a month or so. The flight was 352 when i started. Yapta has it going as high as 372 but never going down. For the last several weeks it was actually 315 and i just bought it for 292 last night, but never got a notice from yapta.

the opposite happened on a december flight to FLL. Yapta had it at in the 300s but everytime i went to purchase it, it would be the real price of over 600.

emcash - that's too bad about Yapta. I havent used them in over 6 months. U might email their customer service. When I did have a problem they were very responsive to me.

when i had a problem with the december flight i did email them and they said they had trouble tracking delta's flights. the flights i have looked at happen to be delta, a major carrier.

I think if they have trouble with delta they shouldn't post anything. People will still rely on them and not get updates when needed or, in the alternative, will get frustrated when yapta says a flight is 300 and it's really 600
