Best economy airline San Francisco to Rome

Hi we are going to Rome in March. Looks like our options are Delta, Air France, or Alitalia. We're buying a package hotel/air. What would you recommend for economy? My husband is bigger guy and 6'5" I'm so worried about him in a long haul flight. We've flown to New York many times and he is fine but I would like him to be comfortable. Any info good or bad would be great. Thank you!

Are you asking which of those airlines has the most legroom in economy? If so, you want to compare "pitch". Look here:

I'll give a vote to SWISS. Seating is 2 4 2 across. Connections in Zurich are easy. I would connect in Europe and not in the U.S. Just watch those long connections. I didn't see any direct flights.

Delta, Air France or Alitalia? Please check the actual flight numbers. Those options may actually be the exact same flights.
