BA 747 or 777 ?

If you could choose a BA flight between Heathrow and JFK - economy - which would you prefer to fly, the 747 or 777 ?<BR>Thanks for your comments.

If the 777 seating is 2-4-2 while the 747 is 3-4-3, I'd certainly go with the 777. I haven't flown BA but I have been on Cathay Pacific and United 777's and thought they were much better cthan 747.

Most 777's are equiped with personal TV's in coach.

The 777 is an incredible plane. Very nice, roomy, and as technologically advanced as they come. However, if you've never flown a 747 before it's an experience worth trying out.

BA has 31 inches between coach seats. That's very tight. You might want to think about American, they have 34 inches betweeen seats. The difference makes a world of difference on a long flight.

I agree with Vic; the extra legroom on American coach becomes even more important on a longer flight. We flew American from NYC to London on the morning flight and preferred it to the overnight flights.
