ATL Delta/Air France connection question
I have a friend flying Delta IND-ATL-CDG, on flight 500 from IND to ATL.
The flight arrives at ATL at 20:03 and departs at 20:55 on an flight "operated" by Air France. It's been years since I flew through ATL, but I know enough that 52 minutes is really not long of a connection. She booked this flight through Delta, so I wonder if the flight from IND and the departing flight are on the same concourse. When I fly internationally, I've been subjected to at least a three-hour wait between departing international flights. |
500 came in to Concourse B last night, and it's scheduled to use B again tonite. But mainline DL flights use virtually the whole ATL, so there's no guarantee.
The AF flight to CDG should depart from Concourse E. |
Thank you!

The last time I checked, DL required a minimum of 60 min for domestic/international connections, so I agree that 52 min sounds like it's cutting it too close. However, you might want to double check that to make sure they'll accommodate you if there are any delays.

If her IND arrives on time, she'll be all right. It doesn't take long to get to Terminal E (International). She should look for the signs to E and take the escalator down to the train, which comes along every few minutes. The last time I flew AF to CDG the AF gate was straight ahead after getting off the escalator at E.
Her luggage will be checked through so she can move right along. |
Thank you everyone.
They ended up deciding to not risk it and book an earlier flight. |
