Anyone know how to make an openjaw on Southwest?
Hey all,
I'm trying to make an open jaw flight from Southwest Airlines, Detroit-Phoenix, San Jose-Detroit but it seems to be confusing and i cant seem to figure it out can anyone help? I chose the both one-way option which turned out to be about 1000 USD even for those flights. Wondering if open-jaw option was availible if it would be cheaper. Or if anyone knows of some other airline or travel site for that itinary cheaper. Leaving Detroit December 20th - 28th and returning 2 weeks later. |
All Southwest fares are priced per leg, so there's really no difference. I don't see how you can find a fare to be US$1,000.
Dec 20, DTW-PHX, lowest fares on some flights are $89+tax each way = $99.10 Full fare is $299+tax = $309.10 Same for Dec 21, 22, etc... Jan 4, SJC-DTW, lowest fare is $133+tax = $153.20. Full fare is $299+tax = $319.20 Same for Jan 5; Jan 6's lowest fare is $159+tax. Therefore, I can buy at this time lowest tax included fare for your itinerary for $99.10 + $153.20 = $252.30. Highest I can pay is $309.10 + $319.20 = $628.30. Even if I want to pay more, I don't know how. |
sorry again i keep forget to say its for 4 passengers

Many airlines let you book open-jaw or multi-segments. The best rate for your itinerary is on AA, which happens to be $253, same price as Southwest.
That's about the same for DTW-SJC roundtrip these days anyways, so I don't see how you can find a fare that's significantly lower than ~$250 for these flights. |
Phone SWest direct and they'll do it for you.
