Never flown with Air Pacific. What are they like? What are there prices like, compared to Air Canada, Northwest? Thanks for your help.

Julie - does Air Pacific even fly from Vancouver to Hawaii? I have been researching traveling with them to Fiji and can't seem to find on their site a flight to Hawaii from Vancouver. About Air Pacific, we have flown with them before and were quite satisfied.

Louise, Vancouver Airport has a website, www.yvr.com. If you click on Airlines serving YVR, they list all of them, including Air Pacific. Click Air Pacific, and then click view. They say they have 2 flights to Honolulu, and 2 flights to Nadi, every week. I am not sure if they go to these destinations a certain time of year. I am considering going to Honolulu next winter. I live in Calgary, so at the moment Northwest and Air Canada are they only airlines. They are both charging approx $1400.00 Canadian! Yikes! Maybe a new charter or a seat sale will happen- pray! So, I am also looking at Vancouver, because with so many airlines, maybe I'll find a cheaper fare from there. Thank you for your help!

Thanks, Julie - I just expected to come up with the day I want to fly and upon checking your info I see they do fly out of Vancouver but on days I don't want. I'll keep my fingers crossed you can come up with a better deal for your trip.

We just booked a flight through a travel agent for Vancouver-Honolulu return for $596.13 Cdn on Air Pacific in early July. I believe availability of seats are quite limited.

You might try checking with a larger travel agency, as they seem to have more "clout" -ie. buying power when it comes to booking limited flights.

We've flown on Air Pacific, and it was fine, although a 3 hour mechanical delay in Nadi for a flight to Auckland made us think that the monicker "Air Pathetic" might have some validity.
