Anyone flown on Click Air?

Recently purchased a one-way ticket from Barcelona to Vienna for $35.00. It said it was an Ibera flight, but now I hear the route was given to Click. Any comments or surprises? For $35, I don't expect too many glasses of wine.

Click is partly owned by Iberia, and it doesn't sell its own tickets for BCN-VIE. So, your flight should be just like any Iberia flight, except the plane is operated by a subsidiary.

Thanks rkkwan. I booked another flight and I had to pay an extra $4 for a checked bag on the Irish airline.

Wally,

I provided a short trip report on Clickair on this thread:

http://www.fodors.com/forums/pgMessa...p;tid=34901030

Clickair is definitely a separate brand from Iberia and the experience is not like that of a legacy airline - it's more lke flying EasyJet.

BTW Clickair does sell its own tickets (and I believe they're cheaper than when purchased through Iberia): www.clickair.com

Hope this helps,
Andre

Thanks. Read your comments. Guess no glass of merlot on that flight, either. I still think airlines should be required to give out free water. Same with theme parks.

As I said, Click doesn't sell tickets on this route, and the flight only has IB number. So, it's like they're operating the flight on IB's behalf, and the service should be the same as IB, not Clickair's.

That's my theory. I have no first hand experience to confirm.

rkkwan,

That's really weird. I just checked clickair.com and the route indeed doesn't appear there.

When I check the schedules on iberia.es, BCN-VIE appears as an Iberia-operated flight (IB 2023) until May 1st, when it becomes a Clickair service (IB 5791, commercial duplicate of XG 1140). When I actually try to book the Clickair flight on iberia.es, it doesn't appear at all however, only itineraries connecting in MAD are shown!

Iberia and Clickair must be in the process of loading the new route and fare structure for BCN-VIE - Wally, I don't know how you already managed to book this flight, but congrats!

Finally, f&b is also only available for purchase in coach on Iberia shorthaul flights - they do have reserved seats, online checkin and decent legroom however.

Hope this helps,
Andre

Rkkwan, meant to add that all Clickair flights are also bookable on iberia.es. For example, check out the BCN-ZRH route.

Trust me, that flight is a true Clickair "experience" (see link above).

Hope this helps,
Andre
