Anyone flown LTU International Airways?

I found a "killer" price on this airline for Miami-Berlin roundtrip economy fare ($323) for travel between March 28-April 18 2007.

Anyone flown this airline? I've checked around and no one I know has used this airline. I've been to their website and checked other sites, but need first-hand experience from SOMEONE.

Thanks in advance.

I heard they give you one free drink (alcohol) but the seating is tight at 30 inches.

Hi Wally:

That may not pose a problem for me; I'm thin and petite :-)

My concerns: are the planes well-maintained and clean, are the coach seats cushioned reasonably well, are the water closets okay, what is the passenger experience like, etc.

I checked LTU's safety record on some websites and they are one of the "safest" airlines.

I'd like to hear from someone who has flown the airline...

I will be using LTU this summer. I know lots of people (mostly Germans) here in Florida who use the airline. Prices are great and the fleet is new airbuses. Seating is tight they say but most of them travel back and forth so often its simply great transportation.

LTU International Airlines is said to be the charter subsidiary operation of Lufthansa. My neighbor flew them last year from New York through Frankfurt to Zurich. She did not like the flight because she felt the seating was too tight.

If you book early enough and you qualify you can reserve exit row seats. They have more leg room. That's what we did. There is an extra charge but worth it. It was 60E extra I think.
